Lynnea is a former agency model in New York who recently returned to the Midwest. We connected early one morning to create some casual lifestyle portraits.
Lynnea not only showed up with much-appreciated coffee for her photographer – who had been stuck in slow-moving early-morning interstate traffic – she also brought along this awesome hat that we decided to incorporate into the session. We shot multiple looks that morning – I’ll share others in subsequent posts.
For these images with “The Hat” we wanted to create a casual urban vibe that included some gritty textures of the city. So we shot on a few downtown apartment door stoops, in a couple of alleys, and at times in the middle of the street.
For the photographers reading, these images were created with my favorite full-frame DSLR for portraiture. I used 35mm, 50mm, and 85mm lenses.
